BENUE STATE GOVERNMENT SET UP OPERATION SELF DEFENCE GUARDS AGAINST FULANI HERDSMEN

It is quite obvious that the Nigerian government has totally refused to intervene in helping the helpless States and communities where Fulani herdsmen have been killing innocent people and destroying farmers' hard labour. Over some couple of years now, Fulani herdsmen have taken more than million lives of people in Nigeria
.
"When all the expectations of our poor people, farmers and helpless men and women from the Federal government have been threw to the mud, our local government chairman and DPO have decided to support us by setting up operation self defense guards to protect livestocks and our people against the heartless Fulani herdsmen", said a source.

In Ogbadibo local government area of Benue State, his Excellence, the Honourable chairman Simon J. Akola, the DPO and his team have done greatly well by establishing livestocks guards to help protect the people, farmers and every villagers from the unnecessary killing by Fulani herdsmen. FRAYOKIT NEWS have learnt that the last cruel attack launched on the villagers of Omusu community area of Benue State forced the Establishment of operation self defense move currently going on in most communities in Benue State. It was learnt also that less than 50 people lost their lives in the very last attack in Omusu community area of Benue State.

It is not too far from the fact that President Muhammad Buhari's refusal to act on the killing of innocent people by the Fulani herdsmen shows that he is biased towards the right move to help the helpless people where they have been killing.

In spite of his inauguration statement that he belongs to nobody but to all, President Muhammadu Buhari has shown through his words and actions that he does not see all Nigerians as equal. His body language and attitude to issues have shown that the way he treats issues concerning his kinsmen and people of his religion is different from the way he treats others. The more people complain about this divisive and unpresidential attitude to governance, the more he carries on with it unperturbed.

"They had threatened to wipe out the whole state if we did not repeal the law, and allow their cattle to graze wherever they like. They say cattle are more precious than human beings," Governor Sam Ortom told FRAYOKIT NEWS.

"The rule of the law should be respected and punishment should be meted out on those who violate it," Ortom added.

FRAYOKIT NEWS also learnt that Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari, who is ethnically linked to Fulani herdsmen, has been widely criticized on social media for his perceived silence over the previous attacks. We may say or see it as criticisms but it has proven to be true.

FRAYOKIT NEWS learnt that President Buhari made empty promises to help put a stop to this unnecessary killing during some previous attacks when he met with the governor of Benue State, Sam Ortom.

Buhari said: "I just met with the Governor of Benue State. I assured Governor Ortom of our total commitment to the security of lives and property in Benue and elsewhere. We have deployed additional security resources to fish out the attackers, bring them to justice, and prevent further attacks".

Governor Sam Ortom said the clashes occurred following the enforcement of a new anti-grazing law. We have come to understand and agree with his Excellence, governor Ortom that Buhari who is ethnically linked with Fulani herdsmen is the brain behind the criticisms and suggestions that the anti-grazing law must be repealed so that his brothers will continue to kill people and destroy farm crops.
