It is really wonderful and worthy of unquantifiable appreciation to almighty God to have wholesomely partaken in this year’s operation reach the peak.
Obviously, in no doubt this calls for celebration because
complete 55 years of age is not 55 days or hours. For that reason alone, I termed this amazing
gift of time as “Operation reach the peak”. Nigeria is blessed. In terms of natural
resources, natural-free disaster and ever blooming economy, Nigeria is 99%
favoured and far above mark to be compared with other countries in the world.
However, my dear Nigerians, we must learn not to mismanage
what God has given to us. We must learn
to utilize it for visible-impact-feel welfare of the people of Nigeria and
development of our country both in the national and local level.
It is a well known fact that a tree does not make forest.
Therefore, only one person cannot change this country for better. Only Mr.
President can not perform this miracle. It is true we have been expecting
miracle since his resumption in office over 100 days plus; but it’s good to
tell ourselves some truth at least once in a while. My dear Nigerians, it’s
high time all hands must be on desk if we really want this “CHANGE” All
Progressive Congress, APC, promised to all Nigerians in the course of their
campaign. If we really want this change, if we really want to put an end to
corruption in this country, we must not only wait and look up to Mr. President
to do this. Let this change begins to take place from individuals’ life, from
our home, from our office, then it can be seen at the national level as well. I
urge all Nigerians to put aside personal hatred, interest, resentment, vision
so that we can build up oneness that will give us that celerity to happily work
together as one Nigeria in order to transform and change this country for a
better place to live.
To all top government officials, on behalf of Mr. President
and fellow Nigerians who have incomparable helpful gift and information to
contribute to the development of this country but, no one is willing to hear
them out because of their level in life I, OBEYA FRIDAY implore you to be
faithful to that post and the rest of the less privileged ones for they are the
ones who voted you up there. Shun the habit of “me first,” no, you are not
always the first. You must put your followers first because they are your
anchor. If they didn’t vote you there, would you be there? If they are not
following you, who would you lead? “Lead them on the right part” as that gives
you another chance to retain that post in the future. The question of life is
not always about you, it’s always about the next person.
And finally, Mr. President, we are not happy with the way
your administration is going. You can not rule this country as if you are
ruling your own family! A lot of things are going wrong and you sit there doing
nothing as if everything is fine. In the news, N70m is said to be used for
today’s independence celebration. For what? Wasting our money on just
celebration, while we have other important things we need this money for. Since you resumed office over about 100 days
now, no ministers appointed. We are not seeing the real change you promised Nigerians.
No stability of power! No security!!
On behalve of all Nigerians, I plead with you to do
something very fast, sir.
Happy Independence Day
Long life Nigeria
Obeya Friday
