TERRORISTS RE-ENFORCED PLANNING TO FLOOD MAIDUGURI

Members of the Islamic insurgents known as Boko Haram in Nigeria are allegedly planning to wreck havoc in Maiduguri through flood.
There are reports that members of the Islamic insurgents known as Boko Haram in Nigeria are planning to wreck havoc in Maiduguri through flood. According to a report by Daily Trust, residents living near Alao dam, in Maiduguri recently raised alarm that members of the sect are trying to break the dam, which is the sole source of drinking water in Maiduguri.

It was further reported that Alao dam, which is situated along Maiduguri-Bama road after University of Maiduguri in Konduga LGA, was once broken in 1994 due to weak embarkment and left over half of the city flooded.

Reports further hinted that the dam is critical to the survival of the north eastern city which Boko Haram has been attacking for years.
