3 FRAUDSTERS ARRAIGNED OVER ALLEGED N15.1 MILLION IN LAGOS

Lagos—A sales representative and two oil dealers, who were alleged to have defrauded a company of the sum of N15. 1 million were, yesterday, arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.

The trio, Omorinkoba Idowu, 50, Olusola Julius, 37, and Adeloye Johnson, 36, whose addresses were not given are facing a five-count charge of conspiracy, stealing and fraud preferred against them by the police.
The prosecutor, Inspector  Eshiet Eshiet,  told the court that the defendants committed the alleged offences between April 2014 and April 2015, at Idumota market, in Lagos Island.
He said that Idowu, the sales representative conspired with the others who were oil dealers to steal the sum of N13.3 million property of one Therapeutic labouratories Nigeria Ltd located on 372, Ikorodu Road, Maryland, Lagos.
The prosecutor said that the defendants also stole the sum of  N1.8 million property of one Grace Omorinkoba.
Eshiet, further  alleged that the defendants obtained the money under the guise of investing it in an oil and gas business, a representation which they knew be false.
The trio pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.
