LAGOS—Lagos State Governor Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the recruitment of 105 maintenance gang workers into Lagos State Public Works Cooperation, LSPWC, to boost the on-going rehabilitation of roads in the state.
Mr Ayotunde Sodeinde, General Manager, LSPWC, while disclosing the recruitment of the gangs, said the move was part of the administration’s determination to reduce the rate of unemployment and also tackle headlong the deplorable state of roads in the state.
He added that LSPWC recruited the gangs to its team so as to efficiently deliver on its mandate of providing motorable and pot-hole free roads at all times in the state.
Sodeinde urged the newly recruited staff to reciprocate the kind gesture of Ambode by remaining steadfast to their jobs, assuring them of maximum co-operation and all necessary remunerations due to them.
