It's barely one week extra Mazin Engineering workers have been lamenting over unpaid salary. The lamentation is gradually becoming more unbearable as the company was allegedly reportly to have paid some selected workers and left some felt to be irrelevant workers unpaid.
This is completely act of impunity!
What could be more painful than end of a month workers did not see their salary! What else as well could be more hurting when workers after draining their sweat for the progress of a company in form of delivering their duties diligently, but could not see their salary coming forth at the end of the month!!
Though, this was not common, but actually hurting and painful as the money supposed to have meant for workers' salary was hijacked by the owner of the company for just weekend groove or something which was not too clear to the staff of the company, leaving the staff of the company wallowing in hunger as they work empty stomach. A report received few hours ago from one of our correspondents, clearly states that all the Mazin staff were seen bitterly complaining as they can no longer afford transport fare to hit their various work spots.
Mazin Engineering Limited, located at no. 2 Olayinwola street, Oregun , Alausa Ikeja Lagos state was a leading construction company in all types of tanks manufacturing industry; but recently switched its mode of operation to normal construction work----building of all types of houses . The said company has first in history trampled upon its staff's right by refusing to pay their salary at the right time. According to reports, it was said that the Nigerians working in the company who supposed to know and stand on their rights happened to remain dormant and completely ignorant of the workforce, company and workers' law guiding such right downgrading.
We also gathered that initially, the company remained completely indifferent to the staff's situations of running out of cash, but due to numerous phone calls hitting the company's line from different site managers, project managers and other top staff of the company, it has promised to pay all the workers by coming Friday, unfailingly.
"This is very painful and disappointing as we can no longer afford feeding and transport fare to continue our daily work. If the company failed to fulfill its promise by Friday, we will stop coming to work" said some of the staff.
