69 PEOPLE REPORTLY STILL MISSING FROM BUILDING COLLAPSE IN NAIROBI

No fewer than 69 people are still missing from building collapse in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. According to the Kenya Red Cross society, 7 people confirmed dead, 171 others seriously sustained fatal injury while 69 other people are still missing. The building which collapsed early morning on Saturday 30 April, 2016 due to heavy rain fall has left almost all the Kenyan habitants in dismay as regard the unimaginable number of persons that have gone to the land of see no more and also those who are nowhere to be found.







The earlier report tagged BREAKING NEWS: 7 CONFIRMED DEAD IN BUILDING COLLAPSE IN KENYA..... POLICE  reportedly alleged "The Kenya Red Cross said a search team managed to pull three children and an adult from the remains of the six-story building in the Huruma area".  The search is still ongoing in order to finalize the whereabouts of the remaining missing 69 people.





According to Kiruma, "The structure had been built in less than five months and the 126 single rooms were quickly occupied at a rent of $35 a month, "


Frayokit News has learnt that the building collapsed out of negligence and total lack of proper engineering surveillance. It was also learnt that it is completely a wrong system to have erected such a building consists of 126 single rooms in just five months.



Attesting to Frayokit News view, 58 percent of buildings in the capital city of Kenya are unfit to live in due to improper building materials used and lack of proper monitoring by the construction senior engineer in the site. According to Jacob Kiruma who live adjacent to the very building that collapsed confirmed that the building was "shoddily" constructed.
