A 17-year-old man stabbed another teen Saturday morning during the graduation ceremony at Dallas Lutheran School in Lake Highlands, police said.
The 19-year-old female victim was rushed to a hospital to undergo surgery, according to police. Details about her condition have not been released.
Police said it appears the attack was on a random victim.

The suspect, who has not been named, faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. After stabbing the woman with a pocketknife, the man went outside and sat on the steps until officers arrived and took him away without incident, according to police.
It’s unclear where in the school the attack occurred or whether it disrupted the graduation ceremony.
Dallas Lutheran is at 8494 Stults Road.
The school graduated 41 students this year.
