FULANI HERDSMEN STRIKE AGAIN, KILL SIX IN BENUE STATE

According to benuenewsonline, suspected Fulani herdsmen struck Tse Gbangu in Logo Local Government Area of Benue State, yesterday, killing six persons. This is despite warnings of impending attacks after news broke yesterday that hundreds of herdsmen from Nassarawa State had crossed the River Benue at Kwatan Ugbu near Tunga village into Benue state, preparatory to an onslaught on surrounding communities.

--> Reports say the victims were ambushed along Akwana-Wukari road by armed herdsmen herdsmen, who slaughtered them and burnt their vehicle. Benue State has been plagued with unending attacks by suspected Fulani herdsmen which have claimed more than 1000 lives in the last three years.
