WE SAY NO TO CEASEFIRE WITH FG----MILITANT GROUP

A new militant group, Niger Delta Green­land Justice Mandate, yesterday announced that it has not entered into any ceasefire deal with the Federal Gov­ernment to stop hos­tilities on oil facilities in the upland areas of the Niger Delta re­gion. It also dismissed as untrue reports tagging the group as Urhobo militant group, calling on the military
to halt further invasion of Urhobo communities in the name of search­ing for members of the group. The group made this known on Sunday in a state­ment released by its Spokesperson, Aldo Agbalaja. The state­ment called on resi­dents around oil and gas facilities within the region to vacate as it has planned to attack such facilities in the coming days. “Another thing, we have observed is an or­ganised plot to tag us an Urhobo group, thus the frequent and delib­erate characterisation as such by a section of the media, especially Vanguard and Thisday. “This attempt has been followed up by a reckless military inva­sion of some Urhobo communities. As for the operatives and the operations of the Niger Delta Greenland Jus­tice Mandate, the wind is invincible.” It said it was con­tinuing its hostilities against critical oil in­stallations because the government of the day led by President Mu­hammadu Buhari had not shown any reason why the group should halt attacks oil facili­ties in the region.

“For the avoidance of doubts, we have seen no reason to halt our anger against the Nigerian Federal Gov­ernment; not when the oppressive system has yet to move a muscle to respond to our re­quests.”
