The leader of the Bring Back Our Girls, BBOG, group and former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, has again reacted to the controversy surrounding a fund-raising event organized by the President of Africa Support and Empowerment Initiative, AFRISEI, Hadiza Buhari-Bello, who is President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter.
The event tagged: ‘Official Inauguration and Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the Chibok Girls Endowment Project’, which took place at the Peace Corps of Nigeria premises, Abuja, on Monday with BBOG inscribed on the backdrop, had stirred a controversy between the AFRISEI and the BBOG.
Responding to this, the leader of the BBOG, on her Twitter handle @obyezeks, wrote: “A people that keep blurring the lines between Good and Bad. “What’s hard to understand? From the outset in 2014, DECIDED that the Movement shall NEVER be mired in DONATIONS. Simple. “WE DON’T RAISE FUNDS. If your organization is RAISING FUNDS, don’t call it “BBOG STAKEHOLDERS”. ETHICS matter, not so?” To receive more updates from Frayokit News, kindly SUBSCRIBE TO OUR NEWSLETTER or follow us on FACEBOOK and on TWITTER
