PRESIDENT BUHARI REACTS TO BORNO BOMB ATTACK

President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the bomb attack which claimed lives at Muna garage in the outskirts of Maiduguri. The State’s Police spokesman, DSP Emmanuel Isuku, said the explosion occurred after a suicide bomber, believed to be one of the female casualties, was picked along the road leading to Gamboru town.

Reacting via his twitter handle @MBuhari, the President said he was disheartened by the news. “I am disheartened by the news of the bomb blast in Maiduguri. My condolences to the families of the victims, and the Borno State Government.

 “Unable to hold territory, the severely degraded terrorist group now occasionally resorts to cowardly attacks on soft targets. “I commend our military for their unflagging efforts. This attack has further strengthened our resolve to completely neutralize Boko Haram.”
