TIPPER LOADED WITH SAND DESTROYED ELECTRIC POLE AT SOORE CLOSE, ORILE AGEGE

Situation of electricity power supply over few years in Nigeria has drawn more attention to the way electricity distribution management system in Nigetia has totally ignored people and the business by holding light for months before flashing it.

This morning at Soore Street, off Jibowu, Orile Agege a tipper with a plate number, "FST-921XH" has destroyed an electric pole connecting Soore and Jibowu while trying to offload trips of sand.

--> It was learnt that the driver wanted to offload the first trip, but the people in the vicinity didn't allow him to, said if he drives through the road, he would damage the road. Out of annoyance, he offloaded the first trip of sand very close to Shore house. Upon returning the second time, he missed his road and hit electric pole and  it fell down completely. As at the time of this report, the drive was held hostage by the people in the vicinity said he must fix the Pole, otherwise his tipper will be held down. It was also learnt that after a very long argument, the driver agreed to fix the Pole and the light in place.
