Ghana's new president Nana Akufo-Addo said he would cut taxes to boost the economy on Saturday, as he took the oath of office in the capital Accra, according to news agency, Reuters .
"We will reduce taxes to recover the momentum of our economy," Akufo-Addo said. "Ghana is open for business again."

The 72-years old former opposition leader defeated former President John Dramani Mahama in Ghana’s general elections last December.
His swearing-in ceremony was attended by 14 African heads of state, including Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta.
