Jang also admitted that the imposition of candidates during the 2015 polls by the PDP was the cause of the failure of the party to win elections in most areas, and promised that the party will not repeat such mistakes.

Jang said, “There will be no imposition of PDP candidates against the wish of the people, and we promise to conduct free and fair primaries where the people will choose their candidates”. The former Governor maintained that the PDP in the state is united and will reclaim the Rayfield Government House from the ruling APC in 2019. “I sympathize with all those decamping from PDP to APC in Plateau state because they will regret very soon”.
In his remarks, Chairman of the PDP in the State, Hon. Damishi Sango, said the party will continue to welcome new members. The former Sports Minister commended the wisdom of Amb. Giwa for joining PDP. Speaking, Giwa, the Founder/Chairman of Giwa Football Club of Jos, said his decision to join the party is the will of God. “I have not come to contest elections, but to ensure that Senator Jonah Jang returned to the Senate and to give support to the PDP to take over Plateau State in 2019”.
