NSCDC DEPLOYS 2500 PERSONNEL IN OYO FOR EID-EL-FITR CELEBRATION PROTECTION

Ahead of today’s Eid-el-Fitr celebrations which forms part of activities marking the end of Ramadan fast, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Oyo state command has deployed no fewer than 2500 personnel across the State.


 The state commandant, John Adewoye while assuring residents and members of the public of adequate protection of lives and property during the celebration urged them to be extra vigilance and report any suspected acts, movement and persons to Oyo NSCDC through calls ,SMS and whatsapp on 09055533301, 09055533302, 09055533303.
A statement mailed to one of our correspondents Sunday morning by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr. Olusegun Oluwole said the State Commandant of the Corps, John Oyedokun Adewoye gave the assurance on Friday during Ramadan prayer organize by the command Muslim community at the command state headquarters mosque.


 Oluwole explained that the action has become necessary in view of some security challenges bedeviling the Nation. He enjoins Muslim faithfuls and all Nigerians to extend the teaching of giving, love for fellow human beings and abstinence from sin learnt during the Ramadan to their daily life. The personnel would provide adequate security at eid praying ground, critical national assets,film house, recreation and attractive centers.
