A doctor has passed away after collapsing at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital in Edo state. The deceased identified as Dr. Okeoghene Egigba from Okwovwori, Amukpe in Sapele area of Delta state, died in the early hours of yesterday after slumping while on duty in the hospital. Until his death, Dr. Okeoghene was a Senior Registrar in the Department of Surgery

It was gathered that the department of surgery was shut down yesterday to mourn the death. A close friend Chika Ndulue took to social media to mourn the loss.
