NOTHING BUT BLOOD AS CARNIVAL ENDS BY KILLINGS AT IKORODU, LAGOS

A graduate, identified as Usman, and another victim have been shot dead by suspected cultists during a carnival in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

A resident at that area, who identified himself only as Phillip, said Usman came to the carnival from the neighbouring Anibaba area, which is believed to be the base of a rival gang.
He said, “The two of them came to the carnival from the Anibaba area. This street is ruled by a rival cult. The carnival had almost ended and the two of them were leaving when the hoodlums chased them.
“The boys escaped with cuts, but at the Itun-Meko Street junction, they were shot dead. Their bodies were taken away in a police van. Usman was a university graduate, and Abija was his friend.”
A shop owner, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said there had been gunshots on every evening since the day of the killings on Itun-Meko Street. The area is still hot!!!
