Enemies of Nigeria were responsible for the death of the first Northern Premier, Sir Ahmadu Bello the Sardauna of Sokoto 50 years ago, said Justice Mamman Nasir.
Speaking at the 50th Anniversary celebration of the late Northern Premier, organized by the Sardauna Foundation on Thursday, January 14, 2016 in Kaduna, the former Chief Justice, Nasir, said the enemies were responsible for the dead.
“His killers didn't have reason to do so because late Ahmadu Bello was a leader for all,” Nasir said while urging present leaders to emulate him.
elder statesman, Ambassador Maitama Sule, in his usual narration disclosed that late Ahmadu Bello labored for his people until dead.
"Under this current political dispensation, we are beginning to see change. God willing we will begin to see the end of our problems,” said Maitama Sule.
“I have a dream that Nigeria will be great again," the elder statesman said.
