This is a letter that hits the nail on the head. Read it below:
Kindly allow me a space in your widely read newspaper to refer to the above story which appeared under the caption, “Saraki appeals CCT ruling, seeks to stall trial today” in The PUNCH of Tuesday, April 5, 2016 page 2. The questions myself and millions of Nigerians would like the embattled Senate President, Bukola Saraki, to answer are: (1) If you are not guilty as charged, why hiring 80
lawyers plus two foreign lawyers to defend you? (2) Where did you get the funds/money to hire 80 lawyers? Does that not amount to celebration of corruption with impunity (3) If it was your own hard earned money, can you sincerely bear the cost and wastage? i.e. fee (s) for consultancy, appearance, air tickets, hotel accommodation and other logistic expenses for 80 plus SANs at each court appearing(s) Haba!
Finally, as a Muslim who believes in the determination and decree by God, why not wait for God’s verdict?
