26 PERSONS DRAG BENUE STATE GOVERNMENT TO COURT(SEE THE REASON HERE)

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has disclosed that no fewer than 26 persons out of the 52 indicted by the probe of Ex-Governor Gabriel Suswam’s administration have approached the court to challenge the state government. Governor Ortom disclosed this during an interdenominational Church service held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cathedral, Makurdi, last weekend. He said of the 26 persons that approached the court, one of the cases has already been dismissed.

--> Ortom however assured that his administration would comply with the rule of law in recovering the looted state funds. You will recall that a Judicial Commission of Enquiry headed by Justice Elizabeth Kpojime indicted Suswam and 51 others over missing N107 billion. Apart from these, the Commission also alleged another N44 billion was diverted which is being investigated.
