At least three people were killed while two others sustained severe injuries as roof of a ice factory collapsed due to boiler blast in New Karachi today (Monday).
The incident took place near Saba Cinema when a roof of an ice factory caved in as its boiler exploded, entrapping workers under the rubble.
The local residents rescued the victims and shifted them to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where three employees have been reported to be dead.
Police and Rangers personnel also arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the matter whereas district administration has not yet reached to clean the debris. On the other hand, the gas of the factory has spread in the area and irked the natives.
