NLC to protest planned sale of national assets
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) said it has concluded plans to mobilise Nigerians against the proposed plan of the Federal Government to sell off some national assets in the country. NLC National President, comrade Ayuba Wabba, who hinted journalists yesterday during the inauguration of a committee alongside the Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU) to engage the Federal Government on the proposed sale
of national assets, said the congress has adopt three approaches to engage government on the issue.

Wabba, revealed that the approaches put in place by NLC are engaging government intellectually, mobilisation of Nigerians to the street and challenging the issues legally in conjunction with progressive lawyers. On the legal option opened to the union, he disclosed that about 20 lawyers have indicated interest to represent the congress in court. He assured that it will engage the government vigorously and ensure that the assets are not sold.
