BREAKING NEWS: UNIPORT IS ON FIRE AS A STUDENT KILLED IN STUDENTS' PROTEST BY POLICE

Besieged the University of Port Harcourt this morning is nothing short of tragedy of the highest level as one of its students lost his life in a protest. Frayokit news learnt that the tragedy was accrued due to the new policy of the said University that clearly states that, "No school fees, no examinations" in conjunction with the sudden increment of school fees. As the students could no longer bear it, they launched a protest to put an end to such uncalled for policy and high increment in the school fees.


One of our correspondents sent in the following report stated vividly the cause of the tragedy and protest:


"A student of the University of Port Harcourt named Peter Ofurum and said to be the Faculty president of Management Sciences, (pictured above) was allegedly shot dead by the police during a protest by the students this morning over the increment in school fees and the "no school fees-no examination" policy of the school".

When he was alive.

The students allege that police officers brought in to maintain law and order, fired gunshots which hit the deceased, left him completely dead. The angry students have started destroying school properties and properties of resident lecturers in protest of his death. Due to the rate at which the tragedy was escalating, the authority of the state government has ordered that  the school should be shut down; of which it since been shut down already.
